I “abused” my parents financially. Could it be this generation is abusing food as a cry for time and connection with their loved one’s? I mean my family will tell you “Travonna, is the most spoilt child, financially.”
They know the WHAT without knowing the WHY.
Folks, I could only get your full attention when it came to MONEY. Either than that I was told I’m rude, disrespectful or stupid. So I did what I know! I observed, listened and I found a market with potential – FINANCES!
I use the word “abuse” with regret, many of us, over use this word without knowing the definition let alone the trait or signs of abuse. Lord please teach me the definitions of words that align with YOUR WILL for me in this season 😇.
Don’t you think words should evolve as you evolve?
Your children are leaning toward a particular direction or area because YOU are only focused on/in that area. Try this exercise, “Travonna, mummy is busy this week, but I want to spend time with you, please come up with something you want us to do together besides of technology and toys. Travonna please think outside of the box. I know you’ve heard me complain about money and time, but , you come up with a plan and I will invest not only in time but resources.”
Bang look at that parents, you are not only going to have a date with your child but you also get to teach them about, TIME, MONEY and INVESTING. Your child gets to learn from an early age on the importance of MAKING A DECISION and BEING CREATIVE AND embrace THEY UNIQUENESS, INDIVIDUALITY.
Well only if you are a STUDENT parent!
